Light visual tweaks and new trim levels will refresh Maserati’s four-door BMW 5 Series rival
The Maserati Ghibli will be facelifted for 2018 with light visual updates and new trim levels.
Little change is expected inside because the model was recently updated with a new infotainment system and dashboard design. However, the trim levels buyers can choose from look set to change in order to more closely match those offered with the larger Quattroporte.
Like its sibling, the Ghibli will gain GranLusso and GranSport trims, which will replace the current car’s Luxury and Sport trims. However, prices shouldn’t change drastically, meaning the entry-level car will start at about £50,000.
The car’s 3.0-litre V6 diesel and petrol powertrains were recently given extra power, so will most probably arrive unchanged for 2018. The diesel now produces 271bhp and offers 47.9mpg combined, while the petrol offers up to 404bhp and can accelerate the car from 0-62mph in 5.0sec.
